Parking is available at the church (entrance off SE 58th) or across the street in front of S-Mart. All are invited and we hope to see you there.
We launched a new section called “My Newport Hills Story” It’s a community history project, where we collect stories from Newport Hills residents. Please take a look and let us know what you think. This is just a beginning, and we’d love to collect more stories. You can share: how you chose Newport Hills to live; what you like about this neighborhood; and any interesting stories about you and your community. Or you can nominate someone for an interview.
We held our bi-annual general membership meeting via Zoom on April 20. About 30 people attended and listened to the speakers who spoke about environmental initiatives and community safety. We posted the recording on our YouTube page.
We did drawings for five $50 gift cards from our neighborhood restaurants. This was a token of appreciation for our loyal members as well as show our support for the local businesses. The winners were as follows. Congratulations!
